DMX To Appear In Upcoming Season Of VH1's Celebrity Rehab.

The 38 year-old hardcore rapper will join the cast of the VH1's "Celebrity Rehab" show for its upcoming third season. The show's resident drug counselor, Bob Forrest has told RadarOnline.com exclusively. DMX is the first celebrity named in the new cast. (Radar Online)

Additional celebrities are rumored to be headed to the show, including pop singer Aaron Carter.

Carter is allegedly the latest star planning to check into the next edition of VH1's "Celebrity Rehab." He is said to be joining former Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss and rocker Sebastian Bach, the former front-man for the '80s heavy metal band, Skid Row. Carter was busted last February during a traffic stop in Texas when cops found two ounces of pot in the car he was driving. (New York Post)

The popular show was greenlighted for a third season earlier this week.

Dr. Drew and VH1 are also bringing back the award-winning reality series "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" for a third installment. The series will follow a new group of celebrity patients who have volunteered to undergo a 21-day detoxification and treatment at a rehabilitation center in the Los Angeles area. The series has not yet been cast but aims to start filming sometime in late spring for a fall 2009 premiere. Returning to the show to help Dr. Drew are drug addiction counselor Bob Forrest and resident technician Shelly Sprague who have each spent years on both sides of the rehab fence. (PR Newswire)
